Stopped in to one of my favorite restaurants in L.A, Zinc at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, (the city’s only luxury boutique hotel) for a tasting of the new culinary creations on Executive Chef Chris Garasic’s new menu.
Zinc at Shade is cool, hip, comfortable and inviting. It is in my top five favorite restaurants in L.A. Distinctive food that’s a notch above, artful cocktails, the beautiful environment, top notch service make Zinc an indulgence! Highly recommend and a must try for tourists visiting LA. On to the food. A new menu recently released features “center of the plate” entrees.
The restaurant has been largely known for the innovative small plates created by Executive Chef Garasic, but recently released a new menu featuring ‘center of the plate’ entrees. While the beloved grilled cheeses and other familiar small plates remain on the menu, they are now accompanied by dishes such as:
South Bay Paella
Pan-roasted Scottish salmon
Also dishes such as Black Angus Short Ribs, and White Miso Soy Chilean Sea Bass.
The menu also features a variety of gluten free options, including pizzas, and delightful desserts such as Summer Peaches ‘N Cream Bread Pudding and cherry cheesecake.
Zinc is also great for brunch, great for outdoor dining, is kid-friendly, great for lunch, it’s a neighborhood ‘hot spot’, and has a vibrant bar scene in a beautifully decorated lounge.
