Chef Mirko Paderno and the Oliverio Restaurant Present: Sorprendente – an Italian Taste of Summer

Executive Chef Mirko Paderno is unveiling a new menu for summer 2013. Chef Mirko is the Executive Chef of the Oliverio Restaurant in the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. His new menu will provide guests with what he calls “Italian food with a regional flair.” A variety of fresh, seasonal menu items will be available to kick start the summer. The event titled: Sorprendente – an Italian Taste of Summer will be held on Thursday April 25th from 6 to 10 p.m. Pre-sale tickets start at $55 and regular tickets are available for $65. Pre-sale VIP tickets will cost guests $105 and regular VIP tickets will cost $115.

The event will allow guests to engage in the new menu with interactive cooking and tasting stations. There will also be an Al Fresco bar serving guests their favorite Italian cocktails. Guests will also be introduced to a new and authentic dinning experience called Osteria. The event will also feature music from Agency DJs. The menu will feature Fritto Misto and salami served with homemade Olive Foccacia. Halibut and a variety of pastas will be served, including fresh Papparelle with Lamb Ragu, Butter and Sage, and Gnocchetti with Bolognese Sauce.

Executive Chef Mirko Paderno has a passion for Italian cooking from his native country. Paderno uses California meats along with seasonal ingredients to create menu items that are sure to please the palate. After a successful career at a variety of notable restaurants, Chef Mirko decided it was time for his own challenge. He worked with Chef Andrea Cavaliere to open Cecconi’s in West Hollywood and wanted to showcase his own visionary creations. Paderno developed Oliverio Restaurant, brining Italian cooking with a California touch to L.A.

Oliverio Restaurant offers guests a wide variety of culinary specialties. The restaurant is open for breakfast 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Monday through Friday Oliverio offers customers a happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner is served Monday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday until 10 p.m. Oliverio Restaurant also offers a weekend Brunch, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
