While there he perfected his surgical skills and trained alongside medical and radiation oncologists to provide a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of cancer.

He is a member of American College of Surgeons and Society of Surgical Oncology and holds many awards and honors as well as a published author in The American Journal of Surgery, The American Surgeon, and Journal of the American College of Surgeons, among others.
