New York Jets’ Quarterback Tim Tebow Featured in Vogue October Issue
As the football season kicks off, America’s most talked-about quarterback brings his will to win to a new town and a new team. Does Tim Tebow have what it takes? Senior Features Editor Taylor Antrim met with the sports star for a profile in Vogue’s October issue, available on newsstands nationwide September 25th. Not only does he talk of the game of football but also another game in his future. Tim Tebow the politician. “There are a lot of goals and ambitions that I have in life, things I want to accomplish. Who knows? I mean, it could be politics one day. I want to have a life that can help people,” says Tebow in Vogue interview. Tebow also addressed the idea of entering the political arena in an interview that ran this week on ESPN New York.
“I haven’t ruled it out,” Tebow said of one day running for office. “Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I’d love to do. I haven’t ruled out anything like that. It won’t be anytime soon in my future, but it’ll be something I’ll at least look at and consider one day.”
But for now, he’ll keep doing what he’s best at – being a dual threat quarterback. Before being traded to the New York Jets earlier this year, on March 21, 2012, he played for the Denver Broncos since 2010. With his unorthodox NFL quarterback skills and frequent demonstrations of religious devotion, many football players and observers have said that they “have never seen anything like it.”
