An Editor’s Pick – SariBlue makes THElist 2012
SariBlue
has taken the very thing that anchors their eco-friendly handmade jewelry together, the ‘Evil Eye’, and turned it on its head by modernizing a complete collection of jewelry using the adornment while maintaining the ancient integrity of this universal symbol. The shop’s tag line: “There’s Nothing Evil About It” says it all.

Evil Eye is Lucky Eye

The jewelry line, which includes one of a kind, custom and grouped creations, uses Turkish artisan crafted handmade glass ‘eye’ beads into every piece. The beads in the SariBlue collection are made with antique crafting methods creating a collection that is earthy, eco-friendly, one of a kind and gives the wearer strength and assurance of the protective philosophy known as the Evil Eye.  The philosophy says that those who wear this talisman will be protected from those that are envious or want to inflict misfortune.  The Eye you wear will gaze back at those who look at you with bad intentions and keep you safe from their evil stare.  This is why the Evil Eye is also referred to as the Lucky Eye by those who wear it!!

SariBlue has been sharing the protective power of the ‘eye’ for little more than a year and has already made a solid mark in the handmade jewelry arena. SariBlue also has uniquely designed collections of earrings, necklaces and bracelets for women and bracelets and necklaces for men.  Within the collection you can find various colors of Swarovski Crystals, semi-precious gem stones and beads for any season. The style of the collection pieces goes from casual, items that you’d want to wear every day, really live in to pieces with a bit of sparkle that you’d be happy to wear with your best dress.  The Evil Eye beads are also adorning accessories like key-chains, coffee scoops, letter openers and bookmarks.  You’ll be thwarting evil onlookers and notions from all elements of your life.

Celebrities Wear SariBlue

In addition to designing her handmade jewelry collection, writing trade articles, setup shop and supporting charities that are important to her, Sari has already bestowed many A list-celebrities her handcrafted creations.  As a member of The Artisan Group, 2012 has been a busy year for SariBlue.

Celebrity Event Items can be found at SariBlue’s brand new online shop. You will also find a number of custom designed jewelry items that were created specifically for celebrities including; Drew Barrymoore, Zooey Deschanel, Jessica Alba, Hillary Duff, Tyra Banks, Amy Poehler and Ryan Gosling.

Protect Your Unborn Baby

The pièce de résistance is the SariBlue Baby Belly Bell.  This unique piece of jewelry marries Mediterranean and Latin American cultures by incorporating the Evil Eye Bead and a bola chime (or angel caller) in a beautiful long pendant worn over the pregnant belly to help calm and protect the unborn baby. Once born, this familiar sounding chime will continue to calm the baby.   You can hang the bell above the baby’s crib or in a window in the nursery.  When light hits the lovely glass eye beads, they sparkle and gleam. Even celebrities want a little assurance that their babies will be comforted and protected.  Hillary Duff has a custom designed Baby Belly Bell and you may have seen Megan Fox sporting the SariBlue Mauve Baby Belly Bell!
