Brunch at the Beach – Mucho Ultima Unveils new Weekend Brunch Offerings with Celebrity Chefs

Michael Zislis’ Manhattan Beach hotspot, chic modern Mexicana restaurant Mucho Ultima, announces it’s new weekend brunch. With celebrity chef/partner Scott Linquist, formerly of Dos Caminos, and  Executive Chef Bryon Freeze (recent winner on the series premiere of Food Network’s “Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell” at the helm, Mucho Ultima bruch offerings make it one special brunch, as it features exotic and multi-regional contemporary Mexican dishes, along with a selection of summer sangrias and a signature Bloody Mary.

You’ll find you may have never experienced a brunch quite like this, which takes traditional to a whole other level.

Executive Chef Bryon Freeze

Chef Linquist and Chef  Freeze  have inspired a truly unique brunch menu which includes dishes such as huevos borrachos (lamb barbacoa, crispy pork belly, frijoles borrachos, poached eggs and pasilla Oaxaca salsa)and machaca hash (crispy braised short rib, potatoes, peppers, carmalized onions topped with eggs, roasted tomato salsita and queso fresco). Indulge in a variety of tortas (fresh baked Mexican rolls with refried beans, tomato, lettuce, avocado, queso fresco and pickled chiles served with house made smoked chile potato chips and Serrano salsa).

Cocktails are also offered and include an innovative, signature Bloody Mary created with vodka infused with five chiles, refreshing summer sangrias and a variety of hand-muddled fresh fruit margaritas.

Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The look and feel of the restaurant has recently been brightened with authentic Mexican folk art and mosaics, vibrant colors, handcrafted lanterns at the center of the restaurant, and an updated bar with multi-colored LED lighting. Contemporary and classic rock music add to the vibe.

Mucho Ultima also serves dinner Monday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight, as well as a late-night menu on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. featuring street tacos.

Mucho Ultima is known for featuring gourmet Mexican cuisine prepared from the freshest and finest ingredients available, and boasts one of the area’s most popular bars offering a broad selection of specialty drinks, wines and beers as well as more than 200 different kinds of tequilas.

The restaurant also offers off-premise catering and onsite private events.
