Welcome to my predictions for 2012! This is the first installment of a two-part series.

Before I begin with my new predictions I’d like to re-visit some of the predictions that I made for 2011.

I indicated in my 2011 predictions (published exclusively on LAsThePlace.com) that the unusual number of natural disasters would continue worldwide. This was very evident in January when there were 22 major natural disasters that occurred worldwide. These included earthquakes, unexplainable massive die-offs of birds and fish in several countries and major flooding in Australia.

Things slowed down a bit in February, but we were greeted in March by the devastating 9.0 Japanese earthquake and the resulting Tsunami that caused the meltdown of 3 of 6 nuclear reactors in the Fukushima Daiichi plant. The earthquake caused the largest drop in Japanese population since World War II.

April 2011 saw the most tornadoes ever recorded for any month in the US National Weather Service’s history, 875; the previous record was only 542 in one month.

The mysterious die-off of birds and fish around the globe continued well into August of 2011.

By the end of 2011 there were at least 106 major natural disasters worldwide!

My prediction in regards to President Obama’s approval rating being highest in the spring and significantly lower by September was correct. On the Gallup pollster site it is clearly indicated that Obama’s national approval rating went from 50% in May of 2011 to 41% in September. This job approval average makes him, along with Jimmy Carter, one of two recent-elected presidents below 49% approval in November of their third year in office. And most significantly, all recent-elected presidents including Jimmy Carter, were above 50% approval in December of their third year. Obama’s approval rating near the end of December 2011 was 42%, placing him alone on the list of presidents below 50% approval in December of their third year in office..

The prediction I made in regards to rising food prices was also accurate. Food prices rose higher by 3.2% in the United States for 2011. This 12-month figure represents the biggest increase in the index in any 12-month period since October 2008. Internationally, we saw a record 25% rise in food prices!

Here are a few other accurate predictions I made for 2011:

Gold prices would continue to climb.
New medical breakthroughs will come about as a result of stem cell research in 2011.
We will see early signs of economic improvement in the fall of 2011.
Democrats and Republicans would continue their quarrels between each other all year.
The housing market in the United States would continue to fall in 2011.
Sarah Palin will decide against running for President in 2011.
The situation in the Middle East will worsen and that there will be more of the same unrest in the world and this would be caused by the worsening economic situations everywhere.

And now, onto my 2012 predictions!

First, let’s take a look at the United States using numerology. I use July 4th, 1776 as the birthday of the United States. That is the day that we agree the Declaration of Independence was formally signed. Incidentally, this birth date makes the United States a Cancerian country. And what do we do now? We nurture and protect other countries around the world and, like good old Mom, we try to settle everyone’s disagreements! Very Cancerian.

I arrive at the number that the United States will vibrate around by calculating its Personal Year Number. I get that by adding the birth month and day to the current year. So: 7 + 4 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 2 =  16 and 1 + 6 = 7. This is a great number for us to vibrating around this year.

The seven brings peace and understanding. This indicates that our diplomatic status in the world will rise next year as other countries begin to see evidence of our desire to promote and maintain peace in the world for the benefit of all of Earth’s inhabitants. We will be given a chance to redeem ourselves! This can be done if our leaders show restraint and carefully analyze each situation before taking action against any country that may provoke us or any other country during 2012.

Don’t look for any great financial strides this year as the seven slows things down in order to give us an opportunity to take a better look at things. If we do this well we can move into the 8 next year ready for the financial improvements it can bring.

Our country will be even more focused on Religious and Spiritual issues this year. It is likely that we will be forced to look closely at the issues that divide the Islamic and the Christian world.

And, lastly, this will not be a good year for speculators and investors in the United States. This, again, is due to the slowing vibratory effect of the 7. It will be a good year in the United States for new inventions of all sorts and we will see a proliferation of new creative literary and artistic works.

The world in general will be vibrating around the 5 that we find in 2012: 2 + 0 + 1 +2 = 5.

The 5 is all about leadership and change through communication. Unlike the 9, which brings about sudden, drastic and inevitable change, the 5 brings us change that we choose to implement. This type of change is often triggered by a mentor or a leader who makes us aware of the change that is needed. The 5 creates an atmosphere of cooperation worldwide. It is possible that we may see the birth of a new world governing body.

It is highly likely that we may see a new president in the United States after the election in November as well as changes in leadership in many countries throughout the world.

Overall, we should see better communication between each country as well as between opposing factions.

The 5 also makes it possible for our world to reap the benefits of our past labors. Hopefully, this manifests into positive change throughout the world. For example, the labors and sacrifices of those individuals who have been involved in the Arab Spring protests should begin to pay off positively in 2012.

Most importantly, because of the 5 and the Mayan Calendar that ends in December 21, 2012, it is very possible that we may experience the arrival of visitors from outside of our planet. They may come to advise us in order to help us break the pattern of violence between the opposing factions on Earth. They will be leaders, not conquerors.

By the way, 12-21-2012 adds up to a master number: 11. This is the number of the talented apprentice who is ready to be schooled by a master teacher. The visitors may be the teaching masters who come because we are ready for the change that is needed for our further development. If this event occurs this year we will be given a choice that the entire world will have to make collectively. Hopefully, even the hardest of hearts will be convinced to make the right choice as a result the arrival of this new race of people.

I predicted the arrival of this alien race in the year 2012 way back in 1987 before I knew anything about the end of the Mayan Calendar. I was sitting as a Medium for a trance session at my house when I predicted that we would wake up in 2012 and find an alien spaceship hovering over the capital cities of every country in the world. The only difference between the Mayan date and mine is that I saw the arrival of the alien race in July of 2012 instead of 12-21-2012. We may never really know what the end of the Mayan Calendar signifies. There is great speculation that visitors to our planet told the Mayans that they would return on that date. Only time will tell and that time is rapidly approaching.

In Part Two of this series I will discuss the predictions for 2012 that have been sent to me from my Spirit Guides. Click here to watch the video!
