Marcolin Italian Eyewear Celebrates 50th Anniversary
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian eyewear brand, Marcolin, fashion industry celebrities turned out to sip champagne and mingle among the contemporary art inaugurated especially for the event in Milan, Italy. Diego and Andrea Della Valle, Dean and Dan Caten, Renzo Rosso, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Neil Barrett were just a few of the notable guests at the enchanted anniversary party.
The ‘La Visione oltre lo Sguardo’ exhibition, a visual multimedia and multi sensory experience by both emerging and established artists such as Grazia Toderi, Elisa Sighicelli, Marcus Schinwald, Kerstin Braetsch, Matthew Brannon, Tobias Rehberger, Sharon Lockhart, and Atelier Van Lieshout, was on display for guests to view in the new Marcolin showroom in Milan at 36 Corso Venizia.
The group of artists was selected by Tar Magazine (a Milan-based biannual publication with an international outlook) and Marcolin S.p.A style and licensing officer Maurizio Marcolin.
The exhibition was specifically conceived and created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Marcolin, one of the jewels in the ‘Made in Italy’ crown. It was to not only commemorate the past but to press forward into the future with vigor and renewed vision.
Many great things have happened since the company’s founding fifty years ago, and over time, through a major commitment to a quality eyewear line, Marcolin has become a leading player in the global luxury eyewear market. It is known in the industry as the “Eyewear Atelier” due to its unique products and unwavering attention to quality and aesthetics.
