John Baptist Records’ recording artist, G-Vo, will perform in concert on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 6:30PM to release his third album, Endangered Species. The concert will take place at USC’s Bovard Auditorium at 3551 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90089. Tickets are free and may be reserved at www.johnbaptistrecords.com. G-Vo will feature a full band, string quartet, DJ and choir to showcase his eclectic musical style—a combination of soul, hip-hop and rock with eastern influences.

G-Vo, who was born in war-torn Sri Lanka, engineers his theatrical productions to bring attention to global causes. This year, he has partnered with A Remnant Remains , a nonprofit that will invite concertgoers to donate funds to bring sustainable water and electricity to an impoverished community of garbage collectors in Egypt, which has suffered major floods in addition to the country’s recent political instability. In 2009, G-Vo’s second album release concert raised $25,000 for the International Medical Health Organization (IMHO) to bring healthcare to displaced refugees in Sri Lanka’s conflict-ridden refugee camps. The IMHO website reported, “The crowd was genuinely moved by the performance and the significance of this event in bringing people together to help those in need.”
