This year Barbara Lazaroff will be honored for her many charitable contributions.

Representing 100 wineries, 20 breweries and distilled beverages, six corporate sponsors and benefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the 5th Annual Calabasas Malibu Wine & Food Festival will be the hottest ticket on June 18 this summer, and will honor Barbara Lazaroff of Wolfgang Pucks and SPAGO with a lifetime achievement award for her philanthropic endeavors and ongoing commitment to great causes.

The event celebrates life & happiness; this festival is produced and hosted by Barcelona Enterprises to raise funds for the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). CTF is the leading non-governmental funder of research into Neurofibromatosis, the term for three genetic disorders.

Last year, more than 3,000 guests attended the one-day event, and this year, tickets are expected to sell out. Pre-event, all inclusive tickets will be on sale for $150. That includes tasting more than 200 great wines, beers and spirits and a unique souvenir wine glass. No tickets will be available at the door.

The Festival has been certified as a “green event” by the LA Green Business Program, meaning the event will minimize paper use and only print on 100 percent recycled paper with green certified printers in LA. The trash will be composted and disposable utensils and cups on hand at the Festival. Green sponsors include Skoy and Henry’s Farmers Market.

Live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs will also be in full swing, as well as performances by the 17-piece Fabulous Esquires Big Band and a wine auction and silent art and sports memorabilia auction. A special honor will go to Barbara Lazaroff, a world-renowned designer, philanthropist and global business leader who has donated generously to charitable causes for years.
