Elizabeth Taylor is famous for starring in movies like Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Giant, and Cleopatra (she was the first actor to get paid $1 million dollars for her role as Cleopatra). Her movies and her beauty made her famous but Elizabeth Taylor’s eight marriages also kept her in the press. Probably the most illustrious and most talked about relationship was to Richard Burton, whom she married twice.
