Bravo’s Aussie spitfire Tabitha Coffey from the hit show “Tabitha’s Salon Takeover, has been tearing apart salon owners across the country for the last 3 years.

There is one salon owner who is putting out a challenge to Coffey; Stylist and salon owner Scott Aronesty has thrived in the business since 1977 and now runs Hair by Scott & Co., a posh 25-chair titanium salon. With 40 employees, a commitment to ongoing education and a strong philanthropic streak underscored by over $300,000 in charitable giving, Hair by Scott & Co.’s rising reputation along South Florida’s Eastern Coast was bolstered by a “Best of Boca” accolade.

South Florida’s “hair apparent” and Bravo’s new “it” girl may be headed toward an old-fashioned salon throw down.

“I challenge Tabitha to travel down to Delray Beach and see if she can find fault with our operation,” said Aronesty, who began training with Vidal Sassoon in New York City when he was 22 years old.

The stakes? If Tabitha can find fault, Aronesty will donate $5,000 to a charity of her choice.

And if she fails to find any areas to makeover during her takeover, the salon owner will still donate $1,000. Now that’s putting your money where your mouth is!

“It’s a win-win for the South Florida community,” Aronesty said. “It’s also a win for Tabitha, as no matter what she has to say about Hair by Scott & Co., we’d be happy to makeover her hair for free.”

Anyone who’s seen Tabitha Coffey on Bravo’s “Sheer Genius” or “Tabitha’s Salon Takeover” knows she has a hair trigger, and this is the type of challenge that’s too good to pass up. “That’s what I’m counting on,” Aronesty said.
