The Duracell Power Those Who Protect Us program aims to donate 10 million batteries to the 23,000 volunteer fire departments in the U.S. to help them power their everyday tools and life-saving devices.
Duracell is partnering with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to raise awareness for the needs of volunteer firefighters who selflessly donate their personal time and income to ensure the safety of their community. Of the more than one million active firefighters in the U.S., the overwhelming majority of them serve on a volunteer basis (approximately 73 percent).

Scene & Heard
Kurt & Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ co-star Camille Grammer chatted in the Green Room, backstage at ‘The Joy Behar Show’ – Camille gushed to Kurt about her love of football – and some ‘industry’ friends that have in common. Warner shared that he became good buddies with ‘The Situation’ while they competed together on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – they now keep in touch via texting!
Kurt Warner also talked about his grueling fire training process with local volunteer firefighters (yes, he actually went through the training!)
Warner also shared his Super Bowl pick – he’s Green Bay Packers – all the way!
How you can participate:
Consumers can participate in the program by purchasing specially marked Duracell CopperTop battery packs and for every pack purchased, Duracell will make a battery donation. The donation can be directed to a specific community by going on Duracell.com/protect or Facebook.com/Duracell and entering a zip code to direct the donation to the department in that community.
