On July 24th, 2010, P.S. I Love You Foundation will host their 10th Annual “Day at the Beach, Adopt a Child for One Day”. P.S. I Love You Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps at-risk children. Join them in Manhattan Beach for a day of fun, sun and lots of love!
Day at the Beach is an easy and rewarding One-on-One Mentorship Day between a caring adult (age 21 or older) and an at-risk child (age 5-12) from the surrounding community. They unite 250 children with over 250 volunteers to create a meaningful experience for all that participate. Adult volunteers will get to adopt a foster, underprivileged, or at risk child from local Title 1 Schools in Hawthorne, South Central, Watts and Carson; shelters/homes such as Good Sheppard Shelter and Richstone Family Center; and partner non-profits like Walk with Sally, Department of Child and Family Services, A World Fit For Kids and Foundation for Second Chances.

Where: Between 6-8th Street, Manhattan Beach
Why: To create a day of healthy interaction with at-risk children
Children: Approximately 250 at-risk children ages 5-12 from local shelters
Volunteers: Over 300 one-on-one volunteers needed
