Elle Magazine’s Creative Director Joe Zee and the brand new Armani Exchange concept store on Robertson Boulevard joined forces to celebrate a night of “Disco Glam” on the evening of May 25. Celebrating the store’s opening, the guests included an A-list lineup of celebrities and enjoyed Svedka Vodka cocktails, as well as hors d’oeuvres and the musical selections of DJ Daisy O’Dell and the electro-pop band Dragonette. The latest issue of Elle Magazine was also on-hand with Kristen Stewart (“Eclipse”) gracing the cover.

The soiree was attended by a wide array of stars, with the black carpet lined with familiar faces, including Naureen DeWulf (“The Back-Up Plan”), Keri Hilson, Brenda Song (“The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”), Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Katharine McPhee (“The House Bunny”), Giles Marini (“Sex and the City”), Rachel Zoe, Jamie-Lynn Sigler (“Entourage”), Kelly Osbourne, Gabrielle Union, Taryn Manning (“8 Mile”), Kim Kardashian, Eva Amurri (“Californication”) Shannen Doherty and AnnaLynne McCord (“90210”).

In 1991, A|X Armani Exchange was launched giving consumers a chance to be fashionably conscious without completely breaking the bank. Now, the retail line operates 184 freestanding stores in 25 different countries with plans to open another 16 locations by years end.

According to its website (www.armaniexchange.com), “A|X Armani Exchange is accessible Armani, inspired by street-chic culture, fashionable dance music and everything that signifies freedom and personal style. Armani Exchange is the youthful label created by Italian designer and entrepreneur Giorgio Armani.”

With new ads asking “R.U. Bot or Not?” Svedka Vodka was voted the No. 1 vodka of 2033 and is ranked right under only Grey Goose on the Wine Enthusiast Vodka Ratings of 2004. On the drink’s official website (www.svedka.com), you can build your own “bot,” like the ones in the commercials. Read our article on the Svedka event here!

Joe Zee was appointed Elle’s creative director in 2003 and has continued to make a name for himself in every aspect of the fashion world. After dressing the most well-known celebrities around, like Julia Roberts and Madonna, and designing ad campaigns for DKNY, Kenneth Cole and Chanel, Zee also can be seen on TV in MTV’s “The City.”

Celebs Chat with LA’s The Place

AnnaLynne McCord on her “90210” character Naomi’s recent traumas involving an inappropriate relationship with a teacher:

“It is something that teenagers know that they need to speak up about it, even if they are in a situation like Naomi, where they might be attention-getters or something,” she says. “And if they don’t feel like talking to anybody else, talk to me about it…I think it will really show how badly Naomi’s life will be affected long term because of keeping that a secret and holding that in so I’m excited to see the scenario.”

Martina Sorbara of band Dragonette on rumors of touring with Lady Gaga:

“She’s a powerhouse. I think up until now, we just kind of expected our popstars to be paper thin and not really have the talent, but she’s just one of those people that it’s all there, the voice, the musicality, the creativity.”

Shannen Doherty

Shannen Doherty on going back to animation for her new web series, “Mari-Kari”:

“It’s something that I did when I was little, it was one of my first jobs, ‘The Secret of Nimh,’ and I haven’t done it since, and I thought that it was really cool. It’s gory and bloody, something I’ve never done before. Playing two completely different characters was a blast for me, but I’m really, really, really happy with it. I love it.”

Naureen DeWulf on her “Back-Up Plan” costar, JLo renewing her vows:

“I love Marc Anthony. I think he’s seriously, hands down the most elegant, classy gentleman. They are very good together.”

Katharine McPhee on her night outfit, a shorts jumper:

“LA’s had the weirdest weather this year. I’ve lived here my whole life…I mean, why am I complaining, it’s beautiful outside — but I’m just saying that it’s been really weird weather, so I’ve been anxious to wear something summery, and I’ve never been one to wear the shorts thing, but I said okay this works for me, I’ve always wanted to wear it, so I went for it.”

Kelly Osbourne on revisiting the “Dancing with the Stars” set this season:

“It was really nice to see everyone again, and I really miss it. I really miss it. It’s crazy, when I walked into the studio, you breathe in, and you can smell what it smells like in there, and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, that just brought back so many nerves.’

Kelly Osborne, Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Mark-Paul Gosselaar on his new TNT series:

“Breckin Meyer’s my costar. ‘Franklin and Bash’ on TNT. It was supposed to go to TBS, but they thought it would be a better fit for TNT, which was fine with me, so yeah, it’s a comedy, drama, procedural, everything. It’s fun. I play a lawyer…what I’ve played for the last two years. If you want good television, it’s usually either a doctor, lawyer or cop.”
