San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival Returns, November 17-21

One of the nation’s largest wine and food showcases, The San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival has announced its return for a 7th annual showcase, to be held this year November 17-21.

The festival will feature the finest of local and foreign cuisine, wines from nearly 1000 wineries around the world, cooking classes, wine tasting seminars with wine and food celebrities, and much more.

The festival’s co-producer, Michelle Metter says that the 7th annual festival will be better than ever:

“With a list of culinary superstars gearing up to join us, along with some of the nation’s top producers of fine wines and gourmet food, we are thrilled to once again to host the San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival in America’s finest city.”

As one of the country’s largest food and wine showcases, the San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival will feature over 1000 different wines, 70 of San Diego’s top restaurants, celebrity chefs, cookbook authors, and legends of winemaking and gourmet food.

Featured festival events include special tastings, seminars, cooking classes, a WineRave, reserve & new release tasting, wine dinners, a Tommy Bahama Rum VIP Party, a $50,000 “Chef of the Fest” competition, an AIWF (American Institute of Wine & Food) Big Bottle Auction and celebrity chef luncheon, and the unforgettable Grand Tasting Event.

Proceeds from the festival’s live and silent auctions will benefit AIWF culinary and oenology scholarships for students and professionals in San Diego. To date, the festival has raised over $150,000 for the AIWF.

Conference housing will be available from several San Diego Hotels, including the Marriott, Hyatt, Omni, Hard Rock, and many more.

The 2010 festival is projected to draw upwards of 10,000 guests, so get your tickets early, as they are sure to sell out quickly. Tickets go on sale June 15th.
