15th Annual Gen Art Film Festival April 7 – 13th in NYC

Gen Art kicked off their 15th Anniversary of the Gen Art Film Festival presented by Acura, which runs from April 7-13th in NYC, with an opening night premiere of “happythankyoumoreplease”.

This year’s Sundance Audience Award winner, “happythankyoumoreplease” was filmed in New York, and is Josh Radnor’s writing/directing debut. Radnor (of “How I Met Your Mother” acting fame), along with Malin Ackerman, Kate Mara, Tony Hale, Pablo Schreiber and Zoe Kazan star in the dramedy, which focuses on several 20-something relationships in the city.

Celebrity attendees of the festival’s opening night and after party at The Park included Josh Radnor, Malin Ackerman, Kate Mara, Pablo Schreiber, Zoe Kazan, Tom Everett Scott, Evan Ferrante, Richie Rich, Michael Algieri, Beth Shak, Ping Wu and Althea Harper (Project Runway), Miss Universe (Stefania Fernandez), Norman Reedus, “Real Housewives of NJ” star Danielle Staub, Kim Stolz, CW 11 “High Society” cast member Alexandra Osiprow, Diane Neal (“Law & Order SVU”), and others.

The 15th Anniversary of the Gen Art Film Festival presented by Acura is comprised of seven features and seven shorts from emerging filmmakers. This cutting edge festival is an interactive experience, allowing filmmakers, media, and the audience to share in the excitement. Each premiere is followed by a party at NYC’s hot spots including Avenue, SL, and Hudson Terrace. Featured actors in the films Adrian Grenier, Blythe Danner, Timothy Olyphant, Rachel Bilson, Carla Gugino, Scott Caan, Amy Sedaris, amongst others.
