The Celebrity Vault, Beverly Hills’ premier purveyor of iconic celebrity / Rock n’ Roll photography and fine art, hosted the January 28th opening of renowned photographer Erik Voake’s new collection, entitled “Roxy 365”. Aside from the general public, numerous rock legends were in attendance – including Steve Jones of The Sex PistolsCisco Adler, and Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition went to benefit The Painted Turtle, an innovative camp and family care center for children with life-threatening diseases.

Roxy 365

The idea behind “Roxy 365” is simple: document every show at the world-famous Roxy Theatre for 365 days. The result is a provocative set of images capturing icons of Hollywood and music – from Matthew McConaughey to Slash. In addition, the exhibit placed a special focus on photos including DJ AM, who passed away tragically in August of 2009. Each image conveys the tantalizing prospect of a story left untold.

The Roxy has also hosted landmark shows by icons like Bob Marley, The Sex Pistols, and Bob Dylan. Recent performances include Them Crooked Vultures, Mika, Keane, Flo Rida, AFI, Wolfmother, and many more. www.theroxyonsunset.com
