Couto ToothpasteCuoto Origins

Couto Toothpaste was created under the name “Pasta Medicinal Couto” in Porto, Portugal in 1932 by pharmacy manager, Dr. Alberto Ferreira Couto. The doctor, helped by a dentist who was a friend of his, created a type of toothpaste with the intention of limiting the widespread cases of gingival recession.
