Miss Malibu Pageant Crown Their 2010 Miss Malibu and Miss Teen Malibu2

If you thought Malibu couldn’t get more beautiful you were wrong, as the Miss Malibu Organization (www.missmalibu.com) presented the 5th annual Miss Malibu Pageant on Sunday, August 23rd. Hosting the event was Emmy Award winning-entertainment news anchor Ross King and Tami Farrell, 2009’s Miss California USA. .

The event, held at an estate formerly owned by Cher, hosted over 40 contestants who have demonstrated civic pride, academic prowess and a philanthropic heart. Part competition and part celebration, the Miss Malibu Pageant also featured an incredible menu, live entertainment and a poolside fashion show with designs from the fashion line Prophetik.

Miss Malibu Judges

The Miss Malibu Pageant put together an impressive lineup of celebrity judges. They included Grammy Award winning music star and actor Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, Elisabeth Rohm (Law and Order, Miss Congeniality 2), Eric Viskovicz (Celebrity Personal Trainer), Jeff Garner (designer), Marnie Saitta (casting director), Michael Yo (E! celebrity correspondent), Shaun Toub (Iron Man) and Timothy Durham (CEO, National Lampoon).

Sponsoring the Event

This year’s official Miss Malibu sponsors included Oxygenetix, California Fresh & Fit, Erzulinea for FredaLA, bubululu, Live In Fitness Enterprise, h20, Triplet’s Gourmet, EuroCar Inc., j. elaine, QuickTrim and Prophetik.

Also sponsoring the event was Janet Harris Skin Rejuvenation Center. As a leading esthetician for over two decades, and beauty expert for The Dr. Phil show for the last four years, Janet brings her experience and passion for skincare to the Janet Harris Skin Rejuvenation Center. Janet balances the use of cutting-edge technology with an appreciation for natural products and treatments. Janet’s Skin Rejuvenation Center, a private clinic in Beverly Hills, features a concierge injectable service by world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Mulholland.

Musical Performances

Contestants and guests were also treated to some stellar performances from musical talent. Atlantic Records recording artist Ryan Cabrera and American Idol Season 7 finalist Michael Johns were they to hit the stage and bring down the house formerly owned by music great Cher.

The Winners

Tami Farrell, Miss Malibu 2009 and Miss California USA 2009, passed on the crown to Miss Malibu 2010 Bianca Peters. Also in attendance was Greer Grammer, daughter of award winning and renowned actor Kelsey Grammer. Greer, the winner of Miss Teen Malibu 2009, graciously passed her crown to 2010 Miss Teen Malibu Farah Griffin, granddaughter of the legendary Merv Griffin.

Miss Malibu 2010 Bianca Peters and Miss Teen Malibu 2010 Farah Griffin will go on to compete for the titles of Miss California USA 2010 and Miss Teen California 2010 in November at the Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA.

The Miss Malibu Organization

The Miss Malibu Organization was founded by Kristen Bradford, who also serves as the Pageant’s Co-Executive Producer with Lash Fary of Distinctive Assets and Glenda Borden of Borden Entertainment. The Miss Malibu Organization hopes to offer a venue where young women in the local community from 14 to 26 years old can grow personally in poise, confidence, goal setting, public speaking, communication skills, physical fitness and self-discipline. The winners of the pageant, Miss Malibu and Miss Malibu Teen USA, promote the pageants sponsors as well as lending their voice to community service programs and charity outreach.
