The Ageless Beauty Facial
When you receive your Carita facial at Le Spa, you’ll experience an innovative new machine – the first and only one of its kind to revolutionize facial and body treatments and one of the essential elements of the Ageless Beauty facial. The Carita IDEAL-PRO-LIFT Machine customizes treatments, based on skin type and targeted area, to smooth wrinkles and fine lines, plump and firm, refine and re-contour skin as well as create more luminous, even and radiant complexions. The facial program encompasses Deep Cleansing followed by either Correcting or Stimulating.
IDEAL-PRO-LIFT treatments are performed in conjunction with the classic Carita Renovateur facial targeted for individual skin types: Pureness (for combination/oily skin), Hydrating (for all skin), Nourishing (for dry skin), Softening (for sensitive skin), and Anti-Aging (for mature skin) facials. The appropriate Carita products are used and a special professional serum is applied while the machine is in use for optimal results.
At the heart of IDEAL-PRO-LIFT is the pulsating current. The pulsating current is used with direct galvanic current to create stimulation and drainage within the skin. The pulsating current focuses on draining, while the galvanic allows for ionization and facilitates the absorption of active ingredients. Only the galvanic current is used during the Deep Cleansing phase of IDEAL-PRO-LIFT treatments. The Correcting phase involves both the pulsating current and the galvanic current, which facilitates ionization,
microcirculation and regeneration of skin tissue. The pulsating current stimulates muscles during the Stimulating phase. This, in turn, firms muscles, tightens facial features and smoothes wrinkles and fine lines.
IDEAL-PRO-LIFT relies on pre-programmed intensities dependent on the client’s skin type. This allows for the maximum intensity to be used to deliver the best personalized results. The use of an advanced micro-controller allows for increased effectiveness, better performance and comfort for the client. The machine can then utilize steeper forms of current waves to provide more effective results. Because of this, clients will be extremely comfortable and will not experience the prickling sensations caused by machines that rely on previous technology.
The machine also introduces a new hand-held instrument with a practical, ball-shaped metal tip specially designed to apply directly to the delicate skin around the eyes and lips. The new round tip is more pleasant for clients as the ultra-smooth metal glides easily over skin. This innovative stylus provides better results and a more targeted treatment for the eye and lip area. The ergonomic design is easy for estheticians to handle and does not require an adapter.
Lab studies conducted on women between the ages of 45-66 with wrinkles, fine lines and loose skin, reveal significant results. After IDEAL-PRO-LIFT facial treatment using Progressif Serum and including a Carita Renovateur facial, 66% of participants showed a 24% improvement in skin’s micro-relief and a 30% reduction in the area with wrinkles, while 60% of volunteers showed a 32% reduction in the total length of wrinkles. There was a 29% improvement in the firmness of skin amongst 66% of volunteers as well as a 37% improvement in the elasticity of skin in 73% of volunteers. In subjective satisfaction tests, 100% thought their skin was firmer and smoother.
FACIAL PROGRAMS
The facial commences with cleansing, toning, the Carita Well-Being Massage and the famous Renovateur followed by IDEAL-PRO-LIFT Deep Cleansing. Next, the aesthetician will introduce a lifting facial massage including Carita techniques and Professional mask and serums to lift skin and increase microcirculation. The application of the appropriate mask for each skin type follows, as well as either the Correcting or Stimulating program of IDEAL PRO-LIFT. The facial culminates with the application of moisturizing treatments for the face and eyes. The IDEAL-PRO-LIFT machine will be used during approximately 15-30 minutes of the facial.
- Deep Cleansing – Cleanses and removes impurities from the skin using only the galvanic current. This program liquefies sebum and skin follicles causing them to exit pores on their own. This method is significantly better for the skin than extractions.
- Correcting – Stimulates cutaneous micro-circulation, oxygenates the skin and eliminates toxins stored in the epidermis.
- Stimulating – Stimulates the muscles and fibroblasts by first stimulating and ionization, followed by stimulating alone.
BODY PROGRAMS
In 2007, Carita introduced three new types of body treatments, including a body-specific sponge holder with a wider surface area to cover a larger area of the body using more practical, pleasant and ergonomic movements.
- Slimming – Also called electrolipolysis, this program uses the electrical stimulation of sub-cutaneous adipose (non-muscular) tissues to activate the nervous system, which stimulates the adipocytes. At the same time, the galvanic current facilitates the absorption of active ingredients.
- Firming – Using a pre-determined intensity based on the area being treated, this program contracts the muscles to help firm them. Treatments are available for the thighs/buttocks, abdominals/arms, and the bust.
- Draining – By stimulating and energizing the lymphatic system, tissues are better-drained. This drainage helps slow premature aging of the skin and helps soothe ‘heavy’, swollen legs.
