George Lopez and Stars Come Out in Support of World Kidney Day
Actor George Lopez and his wife Ann, the national spokespeople for the National Kidney Foundation, were joined by celebrity guests at the National Kidney Foundation’s ‘KEEP It Hollywood’ event for World Kidney Day.
With a disease affecting 26 million Americans to date, World Kidney Day is an outstanding yearly event that aims to honor patients who are actively combating this epidemic disease, as well as the countless caretakers who are committed to education, research, improving quality of life, and ultimately, to finding a cure. The event raises awareness for a disease that is quite common, harmful and treatable.
The National Kidney Foundation of Southern California’s “KEEP it Hollywood” event is a pre-Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) that includes a mini-screening (blood pressure cuff, finger prick & a few health questions asked by some of the best doctors in the country) allowing numerous celebrities and influential community members to take part in the fight against Kidney Disease through early detection, evaluation, and intervention for World Kidney Day.
