The Los Angeles “Innaugural Go Green Expo”, the country’s foremost interactive and proactive eco-concerned “living-green” showcase presented by Perf Go Green, is officially set to open to the public at The Los Angeles Convention Center January 23-25, 2009 with fabulous, world-renowned “New York Times” bestselling authors Julie Edelman (The Accidental Housewife), the “in-the-know”, humorous, and practical woman with endless eco and ego friendly, “sanity saving” household tips for saving our homes, family and planet, Brian Au, the Eco Green Cuisine and Eco Expert in Hollywood/ best-selling Author and Raw Organic Chef who will clarify how to make all natural organic food choices to save and protect your health, society, environment, and the World at large, and countless other important names in the book world. Other special guests will include Ed Begley Jr, an avid environmentalist and prominent actor, super talented Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actress Mariel Hemingway, who will be discussing “How to Green Yourself” by creating a healthy and harmonious lifestyle encompassing eating well, slowing down, and creating a sacred place, and Boise Thomas of Adrian Grenier’s “Alter Ego”, which premieres on Discovery Network’s Planet Green.  Thomas will be paneling the topic of “Broadcasting the Green Message” along with Josh Dorfman and Sherry Beall.

Visitors to this event will get the chance to experience first-hand all the wonders of a wide range of the newest eco-friendly and energy-efficient special products and services such as beauty and fashion, business and finance, and travel and transportation. Not to mention, the interactive colloquiums with pioneers in the green industry, local politicians, and community organizations of whom guests can see and learn about innovations in transportation, burgeoning energy sources, conservation, and eco-entrepreneurialism.

A special, exclusive full screening of Director Josh Tickell’s Sundance Award winning film, FUEL, will be shown, with a paneled conversation directly following it on Friday January 23rd at 5pm.

The Business-to-Business Expo”, which is free for adults, will take place on Friday, January 23rd from 10am – 5pm and “The Go Green Expo Main Show”, which is $10 for an adult weekend pass and free for children under the age of 12 and senior citizens over 65, will take place on both Saturday, January 24th from 10am – 6pm and Sunday, January 25th from 10am – 5pm.

All Tickets purchased will include complete access to the full exhibitor floor, as well as all special panel and speaker discussions and film presentations.

The LA Convention Center was the first convention center constructed in the United States of it’s size and age and is also the first building in the city of Los Angeles to be awarded the “LEED green building certification” for existing buildings by the USGBC.
