Jane Doe John Doe Creates A Fashion Identity

This past month, a re-imagined Jane Doe John Doe Boutique hosted a launch party to showcase its newest designer lines. Many notable Los Angeles designers were featured alongside finalists from Season 5 of Project Runway including finalist Korto Momulu and winner Leanne Marshall, whose looks are very unique, yet very different from one another. Jerell Scott, the 4th runner-up of the show, is the co-owner and a notable creative force behind the boutique’s image. Ani Lee, the former owner and now co-owner, also featured her own line, which was seen on the employees working the event.

The most unique aspect of the boutique is its ability to showcase many different fashion styles alongside each other. Jerell Scott creates very edgy, funky pieces with intricate stitching and embellishments, while Ani Lee creates very fashion forward stylized pieces.

By merely a casual glance, it is evident that Jane Doe John Doe does not focus on a particular look, but rather focuses on the quality and the talent behind the design. Whether it be punk, chic, feminine, or architectural style, you can outfit an original and eclectic look at Jane Doe.

On this night, the VIP guests were the first to preview and purchase their striking collections, while sipping on cocktails and beers provided by Firestone Walker Brewing Company. Tasty hors d’oeuvres were passed around and the sounds of African drumming provided a lively backdrop. Sponsors included Atelier (Collective), Ani Lee, Kros Vodka, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, and 1800 Tequila.

Also in attendance were a few US Marines who helped put together a Toy Drive during the event. Outside of the boutique they were collecting unwrapped toys and accepting donations. It was a room full of fashionistas, shoppers, and designers alike sharing in the admiration of many talented artists.

Jane Doe John Doe is merging fashion savvy clients with up-and-coming designers. Customers of this boutique will have the opportunity to shop not only quality pieces, but also fashion forward collections. Even if you don’t find something to take home, you will be sure to leave with an appreciation for the masterfully created work. Despite the placeholder name, Jane Doe John Doe’s identity will soon be known not only in Los Angeles, but all across the country; it’s a shopping experience that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
