To honor the 2008 Emmy nominees, presenters and past winners and other celebrities, the green-savvy event took place at the private multimillion-dollar Hancock Park Warner estate. Event producer Debbie Durkin of Durkin Entertainment, Inc. partnered with Platform Media Group and the Green Experts at the Environmental Media Association, and produced a 100% sustainable charity event that kept on giving. Durkin Entertainment, Inc. donated two Red Carpet Nominee Gift Bags to each charity involved.

The Creative Coalition

The Creative Coalition is the premier nonprofit, nonpartisan social and political advocacy organization of the entertainment industry. Cruise Cars

Ken Chester was there to promote his brilliant international solar cars, Cruise Cars. Cruise Cars gifted a brand-new 2009 Solar-Powered Sunray 4-passenger vehicle to the Environmental Media Association. Solar-Electric Hybrid Vehicles (LSV’s) provided by Cruise Car Inc., were used at the Celebrity Green Gifting Chateau, to transport guests from the valet drop-off point to the entrance of the 100% sustainable event. The Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) go up to speeds of 25 mph and are meant for side streets. These zippy little cars were used to ferry guests from the front of the estate to the entrance in the back.

In addition, Electric Car Sales and Service of Long Beach, Cruise Car’s Authorized Dealer, provided Gift Certificates to all Emmy Nominees and event attendees, to be used toward purchase of the Solar Cars.
