3rd Annual Tables of Ten: Dining For a Cause

The Avenues of Art & Design at the Pacific Design Center will be hosting a dynamic culinary arts and design event on Friday May 30, 2008, with proceeds benefiting Inner-City Arts.

Tables of Ten: Dining for a Cause will bring world-renowned restauranteurs, chefs, designers and showrooms together at the outdoor plaza of the Pacific Design Center to create a unique dining experience. In its second year, sponsorship participation for Tables of Ten has doubled to raise a total of $27,000.

Guests will feast in luxury at tables that are outfitted by extinguished designers and showrooms, while enjoying fabulous and unique gourmet dishes by some of the most talented chefs in California.

Chefs include Ben Ford of Ford’s Filling Station, Javier Plascencia of Romesco, David Schanhals from The Palm West Hollywood, Michael Bryant, David LeFevre of Water Grill, Yoshinura Kojima and Wolfgang Puck from Red Seven by Wolfgang Puck, Kerry Simon from Simon L.A., Antonia Lofaso of SBE’s Foxtail (and contestant on BRAVO TV’s hit show “Top Chef”), Evan Kleiman with Café Angeli, Crustacean Beverly Hills. For a truly unique experience, each chef will be put in charge of creating a unique cuisine for one table.

Designers, special guests and showrooms in charge of creating the tables will include Willard Ford of Ford/Bradley, FIDM: Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Leslie Frankenheimer for Architectural Digest, Daniel Vandenbark for Dezine, Inc., Hutton Wilkinson for Baker Furniture, Brooke Ziccardi, Michael Berman, Tracy Murdock, Karen Brady for RL Homes, and Inner-City Arts, featuring tables decorated by the children.

The tables will remain on display until Saturday, May 31, 2008 during the Avenues of Art & Design’s Art and Design Walk. 300 fashion boutiques, restaurants, design/furniture showrooms, and fine art/antique galleries will open their doors to guests for this free event, which will take place along Melrose Avenue, Robertson and Beverly Boulevards from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

In addition, the launch of the Avenues will be celebrated, the Avenues of Art & Design’s new magazine. The magazine, which will be a twice yearly publication, aims to highlight businesses and events of the district.
