The Los Angeles United Film Festival Concludes With Success
The Los Angeles United Film Festival proved to be successful at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills from April 18 – 20, following a kick-off celebration on April 17th at the Gibson Musical Instruments Showroom.

The festival fulfilled the goal of the LAUFF, which was to bring together talented filmmakers from diverse backgrounds, while giving those filmmakers a great chance to showcase their short films or documentaries.
“Dirty Country” was the feature film that kicked off the festival, followed by “The Union. The Business Behind Getting High” with Joe Rogan.
William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman made appearances in “Darius Goes West” and composers Danny Elfman and Alan Menken made appearances in “Finding Kraftland.”

Matthew Modine directed and starred in “Cowboy,” a film which tells the story of a Cowboy who begins to realize that everything’s not as it seems as he’s lost in an urban jungle of Manhattan.
“The Seed” is the intense story of Sung (played by Will Yun Lee). Seen as “just another lunatic,” Sung is a homeless veteran who loses his mind while on the banks of the L.A. River. He’s fighting against unseen forces and unseen foes, while the audience gets to finally see into his nightmare of conspiracy and cloaking.

Other films include “Wiener Takes All,” “Strictly Background,” “Red Hot Chili Peppers: Untitled Documentary,” “The Jesus Guy,” “Fish Call Flea,” and the final film which played to a sold out crowd, “Piece of Mind.”
Founded by Tulsa native and filmmaker Jason Connell and his production company, Connell Creations, the LAUFF presented a fantastic list of Award Winning Documentaries and LA Premieres, and included a Q&A session with the filmmakers and cast after each film. Connell also continues to run the Tulsa United Film Festival, which is in it’s 6th year and last year also launched the New York United Film Festival.
