Items to be Auctioned Off From the Soap Opera “Passions”
After nine years of talking dolls, demon elves, witches and shark attacks, the soap opera "Passions" is calling it a day. While the devoted fans of this unusual soap will be sad to see their beloved show come to an end this August, they might find some solace in taking a piece of the fictional Harmony with them. On April 5th and 6th, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the CBS Radford studio lot in Studio City, CA, NBC Universal Television DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group in partnership with Premiere Props will be holding a public estate sale auctioning off several thousands items used on the set of "Passions."
The Auction
Marking the first collaboration between Universal Media Studios and Premiere Props, fans of the show will have the opportunity to bid on set decorations, clothing, furniture, glassware and household items they’ve seen displayed on "Passions." A portion of the proceeds from the estate sale will benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
"We are delighted to partner with and continue to build a relationship with Universal Media Studios, while offering fans of this iconic show the chance to own a piece of history," said Dan Levin, Vice President of Marketing for Premiere Props. "’Passions’ has such a strong fan-base and we are happy to be able to give them the chance to own a piece of the show."
The Show
Produced by Universal Media Studios, created by James E. Reilly and executive produced by Lisa de Cazotte, "Passions" ran for eight seasons on NBC and recently moved to the 101 on DirecTV for their ninth and final season last fall. Setting themselves apart from their competition, "Passions" used supernatural elements and ground-breaking special effects to make their distinct mark on the soap genre.
