Amaranta Cocina Mexicana’s Dia de San Valentin
If you’re sticking close to home for Valentine’s Day, make a reservation at Amaranta Cocina Mexicana. This authentic Mexican eatery, located in the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center is preparing for their romantic three-course prix-fixe dinner, prepared by Executive Chef Sarah Rocio Gomez, from 5:00 p.m. – 10 p.m. The menu will include:
Para comenzar
Sopa de queso y chile Poblano cheese and poblano pepper cream soup
Ceviche de callo de hacha
sea scallop ceviche
Platos fuerte
Arroz con Mariscos
Slow-cooked rice and seafood medley in a tomato chili broth
Filet Miñón
filet miñón topped with goose foie gras-wrapped scallop, served in a light chocolate sauce
Costillas de Cordero
rack of lamb encrusted with chili seeds, served au jus
Crepas de Huitlacoche
thin crêpes stuffed with huitlacoche, served in a poblano pepper sauce
Postre
Pastel de chocolate y queso crema
warm soft Mexican chocolate cake filled with cream cheese
Creme brûlée de cajeta y platano
cajeta and banana crème brûlée
