2012 Conference, the Year That Things Will Change
2012, it has been foretold, will be a year of spiritual transformation. Or, doomsday, depending on what ancient text you read. Some say we should fear 2012, others think we should embrace it.
2012, according to the Mayan Long Court Calender, will be a year of significant change. Many ancient cultures, including the Aztecs and the Incans, speak about a Great Shift. A time where everything will change, including the way we think and live. But, what exactly does that mean?
For those who view 2012 in a positive light, they suggest humanity is moving towards a higher consciousness. Perhaps this is true. The green movement suggests that humans are finally coming to understand we are connected and dependent on Earth’s limited resources, and must respect the planet we live on.
2012 Winter Solstice – The End Date
Why is everyone predicting that 2012 will be an important year? The universe is filled with suns, planets, and stars that dance around each other. Rarely do they line up on the Milky Way stage and take a bow.
Once every 26,000 years, on December 21st, the sun aligns with the heart, the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Also, about every 26,000 years the Earth completes a precession cycle – a wobble around its axis.
It is these two events occurring together that cements 2012 as a significant transitional year in people’s mind. In fact, the time it takes to complete a precession cycle is called a Great Year.
2012 Conference
The 2012 conference will provide hope and guidance by revealing the future hurtling our way. Despite what you see on the TV news, we are not entering a dark age, but a better one. Discover and explore 2012, during the one day conference, through a wide variety of topics, including spiritual, health, economic, and history.
Scholars, thinkers, and philosophers will share their insights about the future through panels and lectures. Dr. Alberto Villoldo, founder of the Four Winds society, will be the keynote speaker. Daniel Pinchbeck, a columnist for Whole Life Times, John Mayor Jenkins, reconstructs ancient Mayan cosmology and philosophy, Harijiwan Khalsa, a teacher of Kundalini yoga, and others will talk to you about the coming change.
For those who prefer to skip the lectures, you can watch "Timewave 2013", a documentary film, that will let you know what to expect after the Great Shift. Sharron Rose, the writer and director, and Jay Weidner, the producer will share their thoughts at the conference.
