Please be sure not to drink and drive. To help keep New Year’s Eve safe for all motorists, the Automobile Club of Southern California will offer free Tipsy Tow rides home for drinking drivers and their vehicles.
Between 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day, motorists may call 800/400-4AAA for a free tow home of up to seven miles in any of the 13 counties in Southern California. Callers simply tell the Auto Club operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” to receive the free tow and ride home. A regular Auto Club-contracted emergency road service truck will be dispatched. Callers need to keep in mind that the service excludes rides for passengers, is restricted to a one-way, one-time ride for the driver and the destination is limited to the driver’s residence. Reservations are not accepted. Drivers can expect to pay the rate charged by the tow truck contractor for rides farther than seven miles. Have fun!

Element Nightclub’s New Year’s Eve 2008 Celebration
Hollywood hotspot Element will be hosting a New Year’s Eve bash featuring a complimentary Champagne Toast at midnight. Located on Las Palmas Ave. right in the heart of Hollywood, this 10,000 sq. ft. club features a dance area, 3 bars, a smoking patio, stage, a VIP area as well as private dance floors for those reserving bottle service.

Watch the ball drop at Universal CityWalk as they broadcast the global countdown from New York City Times Square. With DJs and live bands entertaining the crowd, fireworks and confetti will explode when the clock strikes midnight.
The festivities will begin at 9 p.m. on December 31st with DJs spinning music from Universal’s iconic globe and Cinema Plaza.
