New Year’s Nation Simultaneously Celebrates 2008 in Eight Different Cities
Text messaging is so two years ago! This year, if you find yourself on the opposite side of the country from the people you love on New Year’s Eve, don’t send a text that might not even get to them - virtually celebrate the holiday with them instead. For the second year in a row, New Year’s Nation is hosting the biggest multi-city, interactive party on New Year’s Eve.

People who live in Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Denver, Dallas and Seattle can celebrate with their loved ones via live satellite displayed at each party on HDTVs and projector screens. New Year’s Nation will broadcast the clock striking midnight in each time zone, allowing party goers to celebrate the beginning of 2008 over and over again. In addition, a simultaneous webcast will be produced on the New Year’s Nation’s website so people at home can see their friends livin’ it up in every city.
In Los Angeles, Social Hollywood will be the place to be and be seen on New Year’s Eve from 8:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. A champagne reception will greet each arriving guest, giving way to a 5 hour premium open bar. Food stations will be set up that will include salad, steak, pasta, salmon, side dishes and desserts. Hors D’oeuvres will also be passed around until 11 p.m. and there will be a champagne toast at midnight, followed up by a late night snack.
The Los Angeles leg of the bash will be hosted by actor/performer Jeff Meacham, and DJ CoolWhip and DJ Jonny will be on hand to rock the turntables.
For those who enjoy being treated like a VIP, all-access tickets are available offering:
* preferred entry
* additional bars, food stations and bathrooms
* exclusive DJ
Social Hollywood is located at 6525 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Tickets for general admission are $135 and VIP tickets are $200.
Angelenos who wish to share their New Year’s with the rest of the country will get to party with:
* New Yorkers celebrating at the venue formerly known as Crobar in the popular neighborhood of Chelsea.
* Boston’s bash at adjacent hotspots, 33 Restaurant & Lounge and STIX.
* Dallas’ party at The Ivy Lounge.
* Guests in Denver who will be at the 1770 Sherman Street Event Complex.
* Detroiters ringing in the New Year at the Fillmore (formerly State Theatre).
* Philadelphia reveling at the Field House.
* Seattle celebrating at GLO @ Ibiza.
Even though this holiday is all about the bash, New Year’s Nation hasn’t forgotten about what’s really important, as ten percent of the company’s net profits will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It’s New Year’s Nation’s way of raising awareness and continuing the fight to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
