Planet Hollywood Celebrates Its Official Grand Opening in Las Vegas
Planet Hollywood is the latest dazzling attraction to hit the Vegas Strip. Celebrating the Grand Opening of the Resort & Casino, Planet Hollywood co-chairman, Robert Earl is set to welcome a slew of celebrity guests for a weekend of amazing entertainment on November 16th and 17th.
The Festivities
With a star studded line up of talent, Planet Hollywood will definitely be the place to see and be seen this weekend in Vegas. Kicking things off on Friday, Robert Earl’s good friend and Planet Hollywood partner, Bruce Willis will perform with the Bruce Willis Blues Band in the Mezz Theatre. As Willis’ ‘opening act’, comedian and "fake news anchorman" Jon Stewart will perform a private performance in the same theater. On Saturday, invited guests will have the opportunity to experience a musical legend, as Barbra Streisand will take to the Planet Hollywood Theatre stage for a rare performance.
Her special guest will be funny man Kevin Pollack, who will be followed by Earth, Wind and Fire and Sugar Ray. Other acts set to entertain on Friday are DJ DMC and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
Year Round Excitement
While this weekend will have amazing special performances, Planet Hollywood will be home to similarly spectacular entertainment year round. Guests of the Casino Resort are invited to have drinks in the Extra Lounge, the exclusive Las Vegas headquarters of the popular entertainment news magazine; take in The Beauty of Magic, a thrilling magic show starring Hans Klok and featuring Pamela Anderson; and of course witness the popular Stomp Out Loud, which is produced by the originators of Stomp.
Dining Destinations
If it’s a scrumptious meal you’re looking for, Planet Hollywood will be able to more than accommodate you. Tempting patrons with one of New York’s tastiest steakhouses, The Strip House is sure to satisfy any craving. The luxurious hotel will also be home to the ever popular and celebrity attracting Koi and the legendary L.A. based hot dog stand, Pink’s.
Retail and Massage Therapy
What would a Vegas hotel be without a little shopping? You sure won’t find out at Planet Hollywood, as there is no shortage of retail opportunities available, including H&M, Urban Outfitters and many other Miracle Mile Shops.
If the shopping, gambling and eateries get too much for you, then you can head to Planet Hollywood’s Spa by Mandara for a little relaxation.
