Celebrities and VIPs celebrate the launch of Chivas Regal 25-Year-Old Scotch Whisky
Celebrities and other VIPs from around the world flocked to The New York Public Library on Friday, September 28th, for the international release of Chivas Regal 25-Year-Old Scotch Whisky.
Though originally released in 1909, creating global demand and being sought after by the finest restaurants, nightclubs and cruise lines, this luxury Scotch has not been available since the prohibition period.
Colin Scott, renowned Master Blender is proud to have created this smooth and luxurious blend, with aromas of stone fruit, creamy marzipan, nuts and chocolate-orange to offer a new standard in rich and complex whiskies.
Christian Porta, CEO of Chivas Brothers states, “We are proud to release such an incomparable blend, a result of our tradition of collecting a priceless stock of exceptional aged whiskies.”
Originally, it was the energy and promise of New York City, a city in full bloom after the turn of the century that inspired the Chivas Brothers to create the 25-year-old blend, so it’s no surprise that they would choose New York to celebrate this launch, while paying homage to its original journey.
New York City resident and honoree of the night, Julianne Moore, was present, looking stunning in a Lanvin dress with Fred Leighton jewelry and Roger Vivier shoes.
James Naughton, a two time Tony Award winning actor, was also present to jump start the evening, followed by Diana Krall who impressed the audience with her skills as a singer and pianist.
Other celebrity guests included American actress Lucy Liu, Indian model Deepika Padukone, Chinese actor/director Daniel Wu, Argentinian model Debora Bello, Chinese model Lisa Selesner, Chinese model Xin Li, Indian designer Raghavendra Rathorne, and Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar.
To conclude the black-tie gala event, the New York City firefighters piped in the first bottle of Chivas Regal 25-Year-Old, with Master Blender Colin Scott leading the tasting.

I have had the pleasure of tasting this Whiskey for myself and it has far surpassed my expectations.Chivas Regal is one of the finest Whiskeys on the market. It goes with everything from Cigars to dinner. to a fine sipping drink after a long days work. Way to go guys for bring back an amazing blend.
