The Ahmanson Theatre Presents “The History Boys”
The Ahmanson Theatre is preparing to put up "The History Boys" beginning November 14th. As a Mark Taper Forum subscription production, the Tony Award winning play will present previews on November 7th and will run through December 9th.
"The History Boys" presents opposing views of life and education as it follows eight bright, funny, history students on their quest for undergraduate admission to Oxford or Cambridge, while getting side tracked by sex and sport in the process.
Directed by Paul Miller, with original direction by Nicholas Hytner, the cast of "The History Boys" includes John Apicella, Adam Armstrong, Ryder Bach, Alex Brightman, Charlotte Cornwell, H. Richard Greene, Cord Jackman, Sean Marquette, Dakin Matthews, Andrew McClain, Seth Numrich, Peter Paige, Ammar Ramzi, Demond Robertson, Brett Ryback, Edward Tournier and Elizabeth West.
Production design is by Bob Crowley, lighting design is by Mark Henderson and sound design is by Colin Pink. James T. McDermott is the production stage manager.
