B4BC Promotes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) will be offering numerous special edition products, promotions and events in October that aim to educate and promote breast cancer awareness.
Started by Monica Steward after she began battling breast cancer at the young age of only 26, Boarding for Breast Cancer is a non-profit foundation focused on the youth and striving to raise awareness about breast cancer itself, along with how important it is to detect it early and to maintain an active lifestyle.
Events planned by B4BC in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month include:
· October 6th: Skate the Lake Comes to the Coast: Beginning in Santa Monica and ending in Redondo Beach, this is a 26 mile-long boarding relay
· October 12th: “Winter Fashion Flurry” in Denver, CO by Core Action Sports
· October 16th: Outdoor Divas- Hosted by Leanne Pelosi, DIVAS in DRAG is a benefit in Boulder, CO
· October 20-21: etnies Goofy vs. Regular Surf Contest in Oceanside, CA
· October 24: Hurley Art Chest: An art benefit in Los Angeles to promote Breast Cancer Awareness
In addition to the various events, CCS Girls Online will feature limited-edition B4BC co-branded tee shirts from various action sporting brands, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting B4BC’s breast cancer awareness and educational outreach programs. CCS, Billabong, Circa, Burton, DVS, Enjoi, Electric, DC, Element, etnies Girl, Paula Frank, Vans, Hurley, Volcom, Matix, Von Zipper and O’Neill are among the available brands taking part in this wonderful
cause.

· Missboarder.com will also help out by donating $1 for every girl signing up for the forums this month
· The Bonfire Fall Movie Tour will donate proceeds from door entries as well as product raffles to B4BC.
