Bill Clinton Spotted Wearing The Green Bracelet

Former President Bill ClintonFormer President Bill Clinton was the most recent influential figure to be seen wearing the “Green” bracelet from Simmons Jewelry Company.

Russell Simmons, recently named by USA Today as one of the “25 most influential people of the past 25 years,” along with Clinton- informed the former president of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.) when the two met backstage at VH1’s Save the Music 10th Anniversary Gala.

D.E.F. is Simmons’ initiative that generously gives back to Africa, with over $20 from the sale of each Green Bracelet being donated to D.E.F for educational programs in African countries where diamonds are considered a natural resource.

Clinton was happy to oblige when Simmons stated, “I was officially dared by Simmons Jewelry Bill Clinton Green Bracelet president Scott Rauch to put this bracelet on your wrist before you go onstage. He promised me $25,000 to my charity if you do it.” After pausing, Clinton looked Simmons in the eye before smiling and grabbing the bracelet, which was then proudly displayed on his wrist as he spoke on national TV.

The Green Bracelet has also been seen in Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Ebony and Star magazine. Celebrities sporting The Green Bracelet include Forest Whitaker, Penelope Cruz, David Beckham, Eddie Murphy, Mischa Barton and Mary J Blige.
