Pianist Art Tatum’s Recordings Re-Performed for One Night Only
If you’re a lover of classical music, this is your chance to be a part of history. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on September 23rd, Sony BMG and Zenph Studios team up to host an amazing re-performance of the concert held by legendary pianist, Art Tatum in 1949 at the Shrine Auditorium. You will be transported back in time as you experience Tatum’s beautiful music. The event will be used to re-master Tatum’s work for a new CD, but for the audience, it will be a chance to capture the feeling of being in the room while the music was first being recorded.
You can buy tickets for $15 through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 213-480-3232 . The Shrine Auditorium box office will also be selling tickets beginning at 2pm the day of the concert.
