Jimmy Eat World is comprised of Jim Adkins(vocals/guitar), Zach Lind (drums), Tom Linton(guitar/vocals) and Mitch Porter(bass). These four childhood friends derived the bands moniker from Linton?s younger brothers, Ed & Jimmy. The two had a fight one day and Ed resorted to drawing a picture of his cherubic older brother eating the world with ?Jimmy Eat World? jimmyeatworld.com_photo2printed beneath. The band thought it was the perfect and took on the name. This fifteen-track disc has a hard-edge to it yet sensible sound. The CD deals with the ups and downs in life.

?Table for Glasses,? the first track on the disc is rather monotonous and even a bit melancholy but it talks about a relationship that happens too fast. The upbeat ?Lucky Denver Mint,? has a strong melody line with a memorable hook using their signature, unique post ?90s grunge sound.

?Believe In What You Want,? deals with the idea of searching for your soul and doing what you want. This song is reminiscent of Queen of the Stone Ages? first single. Atkins vocals are pure and refined.

?Crush,? is another example of their pop punk rock sound with explosive energy and inspiring lyrics. The tune expresses regret in a failing relationship. ?Clarity,? the title track also explodes with the idea of looking for something or someone better.

?For Me This Is Heaven,? is very melodic with a catchy chorus and vivid imagery. This disc is produced by Mark Trombino (blink-182, Midtown, Drive Like Jehu) and he has successfully put his imprint on their music.

The CD has two bonus tracks, ?Christmas Card,? and their 2002 monster hit, ?Sweetness? off of the Bleed America re-titled Jimmy Eat World which allowed the band to eventually sell 1.3 million copies in the U.S.
