The 2007 Palm Springs ShortFest Returns With A Record Number of Entries
It’s that time of year again; The Palm Springs ShortFest is gearing up for another week of amazing films. From August 23rd to the 29th, movie lovers can attend the screenings of over 350 shorts that encompass comedy, drama, romance and film noir. Even though there are hundreds of movies to view, it doesn’t have to break the bank, as special discounts are offered on passes purchased before July 23rd.
Boasting a record number of 2,400 plus entries, this year’s festival features films from all over the world. Programmed in 90 minutes packages, the thematically-linked shorts will accompany a selection of special programs, theme parties and seminars.
For a bit of background on the festival, the first twelve years of the event has seen 52 of the films premiered going on to earn Academy Award nominations in animated and live action short film categories.
