The Band From TV Rocks the International Myeloma Foundation?s Concert for a Cause
You’ve seen them on T.V., now catch them on stage, as several of your favorite small screen personalities join forces for charity. Assisting the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) in hosting the Concert for a Cause, James Denton (Desperate Housewives), Greg Grunberg (Heroes), Bob Guiney (The Bachelor), Hugh Laurie (House) and Bonnie Somerville (Kitchen Confidential) are set to perform as the Band from TV at the Avalon Hollywood on Monday, August 27th.

Myeloma, also called multiple myeloma, is a bone marrow cancer that affects blood cell production causing fatigue, weakness, and pain. It is the second most common blood cancer after lymphomas, affecting more than 750,000 people worldwide and its prevalence is increasing. Myeloma research is helping lead the new direction of cancer treatment – although there is currently no cure for myeloma, it is an eminently treatable disease allowing patients to live longer and productive lives.
The Band From TV (The Band from TV Global Charity Trust) consists of actors, musicians and athletes who have come together for a common goal – to raise money through music to help those in need. Finding a cure, helping children around the world, protecting our environment, providing educational materials or musical instruments, aiding in natural disasters or standing up against domestic violence, the Band does everything in their power to not only get the message out, but also raise much-needed funds.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Art of Elysium, Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, Guitar Center Music Foundation, International Myeloma Foundation, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Pediatric Epilepsy Project at UCLA, and Save the Children.
Sponsors for the event include 97.1 Free FM, Hendrix Electric Vodka, Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, and Avalon Hollywood. For sponsorship opportunities, contact the IMF at 800-452-2873 , ext. 222.
Avalon Hollywood is located at 1735 Vine Street, in Hollywood, CA. Tickets may be purchased at www.wantickets.com or call 1-866-926-8499 . Ticket prices are $50 for general admission, and $250 for VIP, which includes a VIP pass to an exclusive post-show reception.
