In honor of this year’s 34th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards On 3 Productions celebrated our favorite daytime stars of the small screen with an official talent gift lounge. On 3 Productions is a driving force behind the introduction and popularity of celebrity gifting. The gift lounge took place at the most LA of locations –backstage at the famed Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Jun. 14 and 15th, with plenty of celebs in attendance.
Among the presenters who customized their own gift collection backstage were Chandra Wilson, Lisa Rinna, Ty Treadway, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar, and actors Terri Colombino and Austin Peck from As The World Turns; Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison from Days of Our Lives; Kim Zimmer, Murray Bartlett, Michelle Ray Smith, and Marcy Rylan from Guiding Light; Eric Martsolf and Lindsay Hartley from Passions; Bree Williamson and Forbes March from One Live To Live; Daniel Goddard, Michael Graziadei and Thad Luckinbill from The Young and the Restless; Constantine Maroulis, Kyle Lowder and Mackenzie Mauzy from The Bold and the Beautiful, and Tony Geary and Genie Francis from General Hospital.
Luggage and handbag favorite Vera Bradley was there helping stars out by gifting their rolling duffel in both Mesa Red and Java colors for celebs to carry their loot in. Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that between her and her friend they had just about every Vera Bradley bag there is. “If things don’t work out at The View, maybe I could work at Vera Bradley.” Genie Francis took one look at Vera Bradley’s unique handkerchief-patterned rolling suitcase and said, “I’d love to carry these at my shop in Maine.” Marcy Rylan snagged a Vera Bradley red rolling duffle for her mother, who will be her date at the Daytime Emmys on her birthday. A big day for Mom! Guests also had a chance to give an ol’ ‘one-two’ punch in the fight against Breast Cancer. Everlast was present at the event and had celebrities sign pink boxing gloves and pose for the fight against Breast Cancer. The autographed pink boxing gloves from Everlast will be auctioned off in October on Ebay during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Stars also received their very own Everlast athletic outfit equipped with a sleek pocket for iPods.
Everlast’s selection of workout clothes knocked out Morgan Fairchild who said that she was familiar with the brand from working on a TV movie about boxing with Erik Estrada. She then tried on some pink gloves and put up her dukes to grapple with Phil Donahue. Mackenzie Mauzy loved the Everlast workout gear she grabbed backstage at the lounge. They are perfect for the fierce kick-boxing class she loves to start her day with. Vivica A. Fox signed Everlast’s pink boxing gloves in support of breast cancer research. Always a red carpet favorite of the stars Anne Koplik Designs presented their Vintage Inspired Jewelry at the talent lounge. Martha Madison picked out Anne Koplik earrings to wear at her wedding. She was thrilled to have that decision behind her. Betty White said that checking out the selection of Anne Koplik Designs was ‘better than being a kid in a candy shop’. Jerry Springer picked out a butterfly necklace from Anne Koplik for his wife for their anniversary which is 6/16/07, noting that the “butterfly” has special meaning to them both.
Stars like Chandra Wilson and Nadja Bjorlin might be spotted on the red carpet this year donning their new earrings from Anne Koplik. Chandra sported the designer’s earrings last year! Customer-oriented furniture store Levitz was also at the lounge having stars sign a Levitz chair which will later be auctioned off to raise money for charity. They also gifted stars with a Cable Knit Throw and Merchandise Gift Certificate. Brandon Beemer sang the well-known Levitz jingle (“You’ll love it at Levitz!”) and said he was thrilled with his gift certificate because he just bought a new house and needs to furnish it.
