Are you in the 14-19 year old age bracket? Do you dream of becoming a filmmaker?  If you answered yes to both these questions then you’re in luck. Samsung Fresh Films is calling for nationwide submissions in the largest national celebrity judged teen filmmaking competition. Samsung Fresh Films
On March 27, 2007, Samsung Fresh Films began accepting applications online from teenagers across the country to take part in the nation’s largest teen filmmaking program. Selected teen filmmakers will be assigned to one of nine Samsung Fresh Films teen film crews where they will produce either a comedy, drama or action/thriller during one week of their summer break.   Los Angeles is one of the nine cities where selected teens will be producing a short film.  Specifically, teens will create a comedy this summer in Los Angeles from July 15-21.
If chosen, you and your crew will create, produce and edit your short film. You’ll hold auditions and ready your sets. Storyboards? Created by you. And the name on the director’s chair? Yours. Then comes your world premiere. Films online and judged by a panel of industry pros.

This once in a lifetime opportunity requires no experience, no entry fee and no cost to participate if selected.  If you fit the age requirement then all you have to do is go to www.fresh-films.com, complete an entry form, write a 100 word or less essay on why you want to be part of a film crew and describe a sample film idea by May 14th, 2007.

This fall, when somebody asks what you did for summer vacation, tell them you became a filmmaker in just seven days. Then show ’em your movie.
