Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival August 10th – August 12th

If you love jazz and art, then mark your calenders. Lots of cool jazz, inspiring art and plenty of fun will be in store for festival goers during the 2nd annual Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival, August 10 – 12, in Camarillo. What has become the largest event in Camarillo, the Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival welcomes a prestigious line up of well-known musicians and artists that will entertain and delight visitors over the entire weekend period.

 

The festivities begin on Friday, August 10 with a free, opening night concert, hosted by the Camarillo Arts Council, by outstanding jazz keyboardist Gregg Karukas, and his band featuring vocalist Ron Boustead in Constitution Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

 

The following day, Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Old Town Camarillo becomes the site of a free art walk and jazz concerts with local artists and musicians. That evening, Eric Marienthal’s ensemble takes the stage for a gala event at Studio Channel Islands Art Center at Cal State University Channel Islands. Later that evening, Studio Channel Islands Art Center at Cal State University Channel Islands hosts a jazz concert, artist studio tour, gallery exhibit, auction and dinner under the stars.

On Sunday, April 12, the festival wraps up with more jazz, art and a luncheon at the Camarillo Ranch House with a musical performance by R&B, jazz and contemporary vocalist Christine Day and a special guest, which is hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo.
