Lisa Palleschi
Pop chanteuse Lisa Palleschi has a big voice, and she isn’t afraid to use it. On her debut album, Released, she explores not only the range of her versatile voice but also the scope of humanity, with insightful and uninhibited lyrics. "I think anybody can relate to Released, and I’m really proud of that. That’s what’s special about it to me. The album is full of universal emotions and stories, so in a way it’s timeless. And that’s the type of album I was trying to create."
This Long Island, N.Y.- born crooner discovered her unique love for music at an early age. While her friends were listening to New Kids on The Block, Palleschi preferred Pat Benatar, Heart and oldies stations and lists Celine Dion as one her biggest inspirations to pursue singing. During high school Lisa sang in musicals and began performing in cabarets in New York City. She then went on to attend the Berklee College of Music where she originally planned to simply interpret other people’s music, but found herself drawn to songwriting, which led her to pen nine of the twelve tracks on her current album.
Palleschi showcased at Manhattan’s Cutting Room and The Bitter End and it was during her time there that she caught the ear of Lightyear Entertainment. This led her to work with the likes of such co-producers/co-writers as Jeff Franzel, Adrian Gurvitz, Frank Filipetti and Tom Kimmel, who have worked with stars such as Sheryl Crow, James Taylor and Art Garfunkel, to collaborate for her debut album Released. On the album, Lisa is accompanied by amazing musicians who have previously worked with talent such as John Mayer, Billy Joel and Jewel. The result is truly unique, genuine lyrics and vocals.
