Abode Restaurant & Lounge Is Set To Open On Ocean Avenue In Santa Monica
Santa Monica is getting a new culinary hot spot as Abode Restaurant & Lounge is set to open later this month. General Partners and creators Anastasia Israel and Kelly Gleason have teamed up with Executive Chef Dominique Crenn to offer the beach community high-end artisanal, sustainable and seasonal cuisine.
Created by prominent L.A. design firm, Franklin Studios (read our article on them here), Abode Restaurant & Lounge has been crafted to reflect the classic interior design of the 1960′s. Offering a soothing, casual environment accented with water and fire features and beautiful earth tones, Abode is sure to be a hit on the ever-popular Ocean Avenue.
As they will be open in time for Mother’s Day, Santa Monica’s latest addition is calling for all local residents’ favorite recipes that have been handed down from their own mothers, along with a short story about what makes it so special. Chef Crenn will choose six of her favorite submissions and create her own interpretation for Mother’s Day. Abode will be open to honor mom for brunch and dinner, offering a four-course prix-fixe tasting menu complete with a glass of champagne on Sunday, May 13th.
All recipes are due to the restaurant by April 30 and can be sent to Chef Crenn’s attention at 1541 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90401.

I went to dinner here over the weekend and was so excited that the westside finally has a restaurant to be proud of. It is the most welcoming and warm high end dining I have ever been to. Everything I ate was awesome and the new age cocktails off the charts. As dorthy would say “there’s no place like home (abode)
