Plum Organics: Healthy Food for Your Baby
Many mothers know that healthy eating habits start at a very early age.? However, there are currently very few options when it comes to preparing a healthy meal for your young child, aside from spending hours chopping, mashing, and pureeing your own baby food.? Now, mothers all over finally have another option thanks to Gigi Lee Chang, a New York City mother and Founder and President of Plum Organics.?
?
Plum Organics is launching a new all organic line of baby food that includes a range of fruits, vegetables, and protein-based meals.? Within the line, there are two stages of food.? Real Smooth purees are for babies 6 months and older and More Texture purees are for babies 9 months and older. ??
Some of the pureed meals include Sweet Potatoes, Pears & Apples, and Super Greens, which is a puree of peas, spinach and green beans. The More Texture purees Super Greens Multigrain (adding brown rice and barley to the vegetables), Chicken Whole Grain Pasta, Red Lentil Veggie, Vegetable Stew with Beef, and Banana Peach Rice Pudding.
All of these meals are guaranteed to be extremely fresh and nutritional.? Unlike jarred baby food, Plum Organics meals are flash frozen, trapping in all of the nutritional benefits of the ingredients.? The purees are kept simple throughout the cooking process, vowing the least amount of processing.? This practice, combined with the freezing, allows nutrients to be locked into the meal.? These nutrients are necessary for a baby?s healthful development and begin developing their taste buds early in life.
Organic products are also incredibly important in insuring your child?s wellness. Plum Organics only use organic produce, which are grown without the use of pesticides and other chemicals that can damage the human body. Overall, organic produce is also greater in nutrients because the plants are allowed to grow fully and the soil is enhanced naturally. In many cases, organic produce have 2 to 3 times more vitamins and antioxidants than non-organic samples, giving your baby many more benefits than jarred food.?
Plum Organics products can be found in the frozen section at health food stores nationwide at $3-$4 per box with each box containing two 4-oz servings. The down side is that this is a little more expensive compared to traditional jarred baby food. However, if you are willing to spend money on organic and healthy products for yourself, than why not aid in your child?s healthy lifestyle as well.?
After all “healthy eating starts with the very first spoonful,” says Chang. “Moms want to feed their baby something better than what is in the jar, but most don’t have time to prepare it themselves.”
Now mothers can simply pick up a box of Plum Organics in the frozen food section at your local grocery store and easily change their baby?s lifestyle for the better.?
