Gyuto Monks Tibetan Tantric Choir
The Monks have been chanting for peace since the 15th century and are known throughout the world for their extraordinary polyphonic chanting. Developing over many centuries on the high, isolated plateaus of their mountain-ringed land, the sublime, devotional chanting of these Tibetan Buddhist monks strives to transcend the everyday world of human folly, creating a work of faith, bliss and enlightenment. The music of the Gyuto Monks can be heard on the soundtracks to Kundun and Seven Years in Tibet. Following their sold-out Royce Hall engagement in 2002, the Gyuto Monks return to UCLA Live by popular demand!
