Tangerine, Carmen ElectraTangerine is bringing sexy back. In addition to all the fun of modern hot spots (DJs, bottle service), Tangerine offers classic touches inspired by the Roaring ’20s, such as live music and sultry burlesque performances, kicked off by no less than Carmen Electra. The sexy star enjoyed it so much that she returned for the show’s first anniversary with another steamy revue. The spectacle lives on, with nightly burlesque shows to accompany your choice of cocktails.

It’s perhaps telling that burlesque is enjoying a revival now, even as our culture’s free-for-all culture seems to push the boundaries of good taste and common sense on a daily basis. Instead of assaulting our ears and eyes with lurid, graphic images, burlesque celebrates sensuality and the imagination. Of course, it also helps when you have dancers as beautiful and seductive as the women at Tangerine.

In four shows each night, Tuesday through Saturday, Tangerine’s sirens bewitch and beguile with their one-song acts. Starting with luscious evening attire, the dancers strip down to suggestive garter belts, stockings, and other accessories, raising temperatures along the way. A live three-piece jazz trio provides the musical backdrop for the burlesque revues – another elegant touch in this already dramatic and fun-filled club.

In addition to the burlesque offerings, guests at Tangerine can bide their time in the indoor lounge or the outdoor deck, while they enjoy the DJ’s work on the decks or simply enjoy the view of Treasure Island’s Sirens’ Cove and the Las Vegas Strip. Early in the evening, Tangerine serves up daiquiris and steel drums, but at night, another transformation takes place, as the laid-back room gives way to an energetic, pulsing nightclub.

The club’s winding staircase leads to Social House, known for its fresh sushi and after-hours dining. Together, Tangerine and Social House make for a perfect night’s plans for entertainment and noshing, all under Treasure Island’s roof.

Tangerine is the latest nightlife endeavor by Pure Management Group, whose properties include the hottest spots in Las Vegas, such as Social House, the Pure Nightclub, the Pussycat Dolls Lounge, the Venus Pool Club, Coyote Ugly Las Vegas, and Fat Tuesdays. In association with the Treasure Island resort, Pure Management Group once again highlights its reputation for innovation and style, as guests of Tangerine can no doubt attest.

The legendary Cole Porter once wrote, "In the olden days a glimpse of stocking/Was looked on as something Paris Hilton at Tangerineshocking," and his words have never seemed more appropriate than now, in today’s exhibitionist culture. But you can find an oasis from this extreme extroversion, and that refuge is in the desert – Las Vegas, for starters, and Tangerine at Treasure Island, to be exact. More than a nightclub or a bar, Tangerine features scintillating burlesque performances inspired by the Jazz Age. You don’t have to put on your spats or your flapper dress to have fun at Tangerine – just your sense of fun and adventure.
