Who’s in the MOOD for Some Dickinson?

The sharp winds and cold temperatures didn’t hinder Hollywood’s cliques from coming out to mingle, especially at Mood, where Ms. Janice Dickinson was holding the release party for the premiere of her show’s second season. The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, a promising new reality show on the Oxygen channel, has allowed Ms. Dickinson to reach out to audiences across the nation and share her adventures in “saving Los Angeles from ugly people”. Said with such sass and tone only a former supermodel can, its hard to shy away from the strength behind the show’s true objectives – to show us all how real, how hard, how brutal the beauty business is.

Janice Dickinson struts her stuff for the Oxygen Channel.
Ms. Dickinson was just as lively at her club event, which was a real treat, for myself and the other attendees. With so many whispers floating around as they showed the new season’s first episode via club projector, there were also many oohs and aahs about Janice’s attitude and how it compares to the rest of reality shows out there. I will most certainly agree. Aside from the ability to compel and draw attention, Janice’s approach to business, recruitment, and of course, her fashion expertise, is nothing close to being fake or biased. She is the girl everyone loves to hate, but also loves. While it is easy to see her energy as negative, I for one see it as refreshing and as someone with one foot in the industry, it’s easier to relate and understand how necessary brutal honesty and spunk is.

The crowd is pleased with the next season...

This season is looking to be more promising than the first, as new obstacles and challenges turn things around for everyone’s success from the first season. New faces, new casting calls, and new decisions for Janice are just some of the formula to what could be another great season of model mayhem. I’m sure a viewer with no fashion interest whatsoever can still be captured with the random bodacious body parts exposed in the show. If not drawn with your eyes, then perhaps by ear, for where else can you hear Janice command someone to “drop ‘trou’ and show me what you got”.

The dance floor gets packed with Janice's guests @ Club Mood.
So kudos to Ms. Dickinson, her great party, and the wonderful people that composed Wednesday night’s shindig. The club was well complimented by everything and everyone in it. Chillin’ bar side with our screwdrivers and apple martinis made it too easy to appreciate the various levels of beauty around me. An Indonesian setting fused with a thousand candles, amber and gold colors that draw a certain warmth, complimented by plush couches and Buddha statues, it was almost too much to be standing there, even more so with my wonderful date, Shannon, to accompany me. Beautiful bodies, Hollywood shot callers, and great vibes from the world famous Mood was definitely a proper way to spend a Wednesday night. Special thanks to Jamie Barron (www.jbpentertainment.net), Diane Tran from Lush Entertainment, the Oxygen Channel, Boggie & Hoover Inc.,Club Mood, and Ms. Walker for making all of this happen.

Special thanks to Jamie Barron, Diane Tran, and Club Mood.
